Our new CEO Andrew Thorburn, who took over from Mike Baird on 24 June, has already enjoyed visiting many of our care homes, including before he officially started!
Soon after his appointment was announced, Andrew took the opportunity to visit care homes at Hammondville, and was quick to continue visits to other care homes in his first few weeks on the job.

These include HammondCare Darlinghurst, Wahroonga, Miranda, North Turramurra and Caulfield. He received a particularly warm welcome in Caulfield when it was noted he comes from Melbourne, although he’ll be spending plenty of time working in NSW and other states.
In fact, Andrew will visit our new Daw Park care home in Adelaide on 28 August, just in time for the first anniversary of its opening, with other location visits planned.
During each visit, Andrew has taken time to talk with our care teams and managers, and is looking forward to hearing from our residential representatives in the annual Partnering in Care survey which is open now.
