What is Palliative Care?
Palliative care is person-centred care that helps those diagnosed with a progressive, life-limiting illness to live as fully and comfortably as possible. It involves physical, spiritual and emotional comfort, skilled symptom control, good communication, and support to family and carers during the final stages of illness and in the bereavement period.
