David, a palliative care patient, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in early 2024. The volunteer biographer helped select significant aspects of his life as chapters of his Life Story, and the final product has profoundly impacted David's family. "You’ve got to think about what you are leaving to other people. I gave the book to my two grandchildren for Christmas... It was all positive and a great experience".
How are Life Stories created?
The Life Stories journey begins with a conversation with a volunteer who listens as the participant shares their memories, life lessons and messages for loved ones.
These words are transcribed into a written document and reviewed together to ensure it captures their unique voice, and photos are added.
Each participant receives two bound and one digital copy, completely free. After several weeks, the result is a meaningful keepsake for family and friends.
Your support helps more people share their stories and leave a lasting legacy.
