Felicity Burns joined HammondCare in 2015 as the Nursing Unit Manager of the Palliative Care Unit at Braeside Hospital. Felicity has over 20 years’ experience as a registered nurse working across a diverse range of speciality areas including haematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant, ICU and palliative care.

Felicity currently works as the Director of Community Palliative Care for HammondCare North and is responsible for the specialist palliative care community services provided across Northern Sydney Local Health District. Prior to working with HammondCare, Felicity worked at the University of Wollongong as a Quality Improvement Facilitator for the Palliative Care Outcomes Collaboration (PCOC). She is an active member of both the Management and Education Committees of Palliative Care New South Wales.

Felicity is driven by a passion to enable, encourage and lead in order to provide palliative care that is equitable, holistic, seamless, professional and, most importantly, compassionate.
