Support for carers
We provide emotional support and education to people with a loved one in residential care. Find help at every HammondCare home.

Connect with a Carers’ Support Group
Every HammondCare home has a support group specially formed to provide emotional support and education to people who have a loved one in residential care. Run by current and former carers, we come together to share information and skills that help build resilience.
Here, you’ll learn how to better take care of yourself and your loved one. Our monthly meetings are a valuable source of support and you’re free to attend whenever you can manage. Just remember: help is always available, no matter your circumstances.

Reasons our groups can help
Come along to your local Carers’ Support Group to:
- connect with others who have had similar experiences
- learn more about the ageing process
- get info on care strategies for dementia
- be reminded that you’re not alone.
