We’ll provide access to HammondCare’s online training modules, and when you start onsite as a volunteer you won’t be alone! You’ll have another volunteer or staff member who will be your buddy and introduce you to people and guide you on your volunteering journey. You’ll also be supported by your local Volunteer Coordinator.

Time commitment

Ideally, you’ll be available for at least two hours per week over a 12 month or longer period. This may vary from role-to-role and location, so we encourage you to speak with us about your interests and availability.

Volunteers in health must be over the age of 18 years and are required to complete a criminal record check, which we can arrange for you.

All HammondCare Volunteers are required to show proof of their current flu vaccination each year and meet immunisation requirements including Hep B and COVID-19 vaccination.
