Social outings spark joy and memories
Social outings are vital for resident and patient well-being as they provide a chance to make friends, see new places and form connections. And when places from the past reignite special memories, residents can reminisce about enjoyable experiences.
That’s why the HammondCare Foundation is raising funds for wheelchair-accessible buses that help to reconnect those in our care with the outdoors and their local community. Today, we need your support to expand this program for HammondCare communities, including Miranda, Horsely, Scone and Braeside Hospital.
In support of life engagement
Every person deserves to engage fully in life, no matter their circumstances. The HammondCare Foundation believes in providing tailored activities that empower those we support — such as social outings on accessible buses. They play an important role in creating a rich sense of meaning and belonging in residents daily lives.
Supporting life engagement initiatives is one of our five focus areas, which drive efforts in raising funds for people in need.
