Together we can improve quality of life for people in need

We're driven by our history of helping society's most vulnerable people

Archdeacon RBS Hammond’s practical, bold and innovative initiative in founding Hammondville during the Great Depression continues to be our guiding light today.

The HammondCare Foundation was established to provide support for those in need and to help those who are facing the hardest times life has to offer. We do this regardless of religion, position or circumstance.

Why do we need to fundraise?

While the Government does fund a range of services, the people in our care have so many vital needs that the Government simply does not cover.

As a Christian charity we believe that we should provide care for those in need, especially those who cannot afford it.

Unfortunately for many older Australians, the cost of the services and support that they need is out of reach. HammondCare Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to address this.

Your donation ensures people receive the support they need in aged care, dementia care and palliative care

Donations help in many vital areas:

Patient and family comfort:

Additional funding helps us enhance our patients’ experience in countless ways, such as providing clinical approaches for better symptom control, alternative therapies, comfortable room furnishings, relaxing outdoor spaces, specialised mattresses, and family friendly facilities.

Medical equipment and training:

Ongoing technology upgrades to vital equipment and services, alongside specialised training for staff funded by donors, allow us to provide best practice medical care for our patients – no matter what their circumstances.

Research and innovation:

Ground-breaking research means we can identify innovative approaches to care that improve the physical and mental wellbeing of those in our care. Past successes include both new clinical approaches and non-medical therapies such as Arts on Prescription and Music Engagement.

Pastoral care and wellbeing support:

HammondCare offers a range of vital wellbeing services to patients, families and loved ones that are over and above Government funded services. This includes unlimited bereavement counselling and our pastoral care team offering a friendly ear and support to people of any faith.
