Palliative Care

A comprehensive service for those diagnosed with a life threatening illness when relief from symptoms or pain management may be required. We aim to provide comprehensive support for the person, their family and other carers, support which embraces physical, psychological and spiritual needs.

Care can be provided in a person’s home, in a palliative care inpatient unit, a nursing home or hospital. Assistance is offered to help patients to live life as fully and comfortably as possible, maintaining dignity and at the same time supporting families and carers during and after the illness.
