Forced into medical retirement by chronic health issues, Penny’s life was unravelling. She couldn’t sleep properly, her fridge was barely working.
“I didn’t think anyone would hear me. I was just trying to hold on” Penny said.
That all changed when HammondCare stepped in. Thanks to donations to the Care Fund, Penny received a new fridge the next day and, soon after, a new mattress.
“Now I can keep fresh food and start my day with energy. It’s changed everything. I feel seen. Valued. Not just a name on a page."

Relying solely on donated funds, our goal is to expand this program from 3 to 17 residential care sites, bringing enough trained animals to engage and offer support to more than 2,000 aged care residents .
