We’re all doing it tough

Support For Checking Behaviours HammondCare at Home

Increased COVID-19 community transmission and lockdown restrictions are certainly making it tough for everyone right now. However, I’d like to assure you HammondCare At Home is doing absolutely everything possible to limit interruptions to your regular home care services.

We know how important it is that you receive care and support services as expected and preferably with the people you’re used to seeing regularly.

With additional health and safety guidelines in place, including lockdown restrictions, it means that we have to adapt care services, as some staff cannot work in some regions without breaking lockdown laws and being less Covid-safe – and our highest priority is to protect you, your loved ones and all staff.

There are also some services we normally provide to you that have been deemed as being non-essential under public health orders. We appreciate this is less than ideal, but we are hopeful that they can resume again as soon as lockdown ends.

We know this can be frustrating and our care workers feel this too. They are trying their hardest to maintain services wherever possible.

As well, we are continually working to ensure the safety of you and your families. We ensure our people are adhering to government regulations, wear Personal Protective Equipment or PPE (masks etc) wherever required and while vaccinations for home care staff are currently not mandatory, we are strongly encouraging all our home care staff to get vaccinated when those vaccinations become available.

Through all of this, your patience and kindness is so vital. If we all work together, we can get through this with the least disruption possible. We especially value your respect and understanding for our care teams as we partner together in these tough times.
