Concierge Visitor Screening Volunteer

HammondCare is an independent charity specialising in dementia care. We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and have a wonderful group of volunteers that help us make a difference in the lives of aged care residents.

About the role

As a Concierge Visitor Screening Volunteer, you'll be welcoming visitors to a HammondCare residential aged care home during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

As you volunteer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Welcoming visitors to the aged care home
  • Reviewing each visitor against the entry criteria
  • Providing access to visitors that comply
  • Restricting access to visitors who don’t comply and explaining the reasoning
  • Documenting visitor access and those where access has been denied
  • Taking the visitor's temperature

We hold 2 visiting sessions per day, 7 days a week at the below sites. You can commit to a regular shift or join our backup adhoc team.
