A palliative approach to care

A palliative approach to care

Skills and knowledge to help you care

As aged care workers, we understand the complexities and challenges of caring for someone who is facing end of life, while providing information and support to families too. Each member of the care team has a role to play.

To help you provide the best support at this critical stage, we’ve developed an education program to increase knowledge and understanding of palliative and end of life care.

The program helps you understand what good palliative care involves and how you can deliver it. You’ll learn to recognise when someone is dying and feel confident to have conversations with those in your care and their families about end-of-life.

A Palliative Approach to Care is available to anyone working in an aged or community care role within the Central Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network, free of charge.

If you are not based within the Central Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network and working in aged or community care, but the program is of interest to you, we’re happy to discuss your needs.
