COVID-19 Update for HCAH clients in Cumberland & Blacktown LGA's

23rd July 2021

Dear Clients, Family and Friends,

We are writing today following the announcement from the NSW Premier regarding the tighter restrictions imposed on the two Local Government Areas of Cumberland and Blacktown.

The HammondCare team will be calling you to discuss your visits and ensure that essential support is available to you. We will be reducing the risk to clients and staff by implementing scheduling bubbles.

The scheduling bubble means that care workers and clients who live in the same LGA will be assigned to each other. Because of this it may mean you have new care workers for your visits, who will be happy to get to know you and support you over this period.

We will also be modifying visits to the shortest duration possible in order to reduce risk, and alternatives will be discussed for high risk visits like shopping and transport.

Due to the new restrictions, domestic assistance or maintenance visits, except urgent maintenance work to address safety concerns will need to be put on hold.

Please ask us if you would like to arrange telephone or virtual (telehealth) visits, which are a great option. These will be from regular care workers and clinical staff – the aim of these will be to stay connected, reduce loneliness and help you keep well.

HammondCare wishes to thank you for your understanding, patience and for partnering with us during this time.

As always, if you wish to reach out for any reason or you have any good ideas to share, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call us on 1800 826 166.

Warm regards,
