We specialise in aged and dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, mental health services for older people, and other related health and aged care services.  HammondCare seeks to embed evidence based best practice in its services and we provide these services through home care, sub-acute hospitals and residential aged care. 

About the role

Community Care Workers deliver a range of ‘At Home’ aged care services and mostly work independently in clients’ homes, but with direct support from their Care Manager.

Our 'At Home' services in City of Monash, City of Knox, City of Whitehorse ,City of Brimbank, City of Moreland, City of Moonee Valley ,City of Wyndham and surrounding areas are growing, and we are seeking Care Workers who genuinely want to make a difference in older people's lives, by enabling our clients to maintain their sense of independence and wellbeing in a community setting.

About you (Selection Criteria)

  • A current Australian driver’s licence, reliable car and safe driving record is required
  • Previous experience in a similar community care role is highly regarded.
  • Willingness to travel between client’s homes in the Melbourne region
  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action;
  • Empathy, patience and a caring nature is essential;
  • No formal qualifications necessary, however Certificate III related to Aged Care is highly regarded;
  • Passion for providing care for elderly people and to care for those living with dementia;
