  • 2 x Full time roles – Monday to Friday (8am-4:30pm)
  • Role based at Greenwich Hospital, NSW, with the possibility of also providing a service to Neringah and Northern Beaches

  • Braeside Hospital (South-West Sydney),
  • Greenwich Hospital (Lower-North Shore), 
  • Neringah Hospital (Northern Suburbs), and  
  • Mona Vale Community Palliative Care services (Northern Beaches).

About the role

The role of the Allied Health Assistant is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers. The Allied Health Assistant will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a patient centred, evidence based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare.     

The essence of this role:

  • Assist as directed in the provision of effective and efficient therapy service to clients and appropriate support and advice to their carers
  • Participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the organisation’s Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a client centred, continuous quality improvement work environment

About you


  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
  • Experience working in health or aged care setting.
  • A current drivers licence and safe driving record.
  • Computer skills
  • Willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites and services.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy and patience.
  • Aqua therapy: good water confidence and swimming ability


  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance.
  • Customer relations experience
  • An understanding of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures and manual handling principles
  • Maintenance of equipment and coordination of an equipment loan pool
