New Aged Care Minister and Ministry welcomed

Ken Wyatt 250

HammondCare's Acting Chief Executive, Angela Raguz, welcomed last week’s announcement of the appointment of Ken Wyatt as the new Federal Minister for Aged Care and Indigenous Health.

“We have worked with Minister Wyatt during his time as Assistant Minister for Aged Care and know he has a keen interest and passion for the sector,” Ms Raguz said.

“We look forward to continuing to work with him on important issues affecting the industry like workforce, quality and standards and the changes resulting from a more competitive, open marketplace throughout Australia.”

Ms Raguz said it was also welcome news that aged care now has its own distinct portfolio.

Mr Wyatt will officially open HammondCare's new northern Sydney dementia care home in February.
