A new social club for South Brisbane

Tallowwood, HammondCare’s new social club in South Brisbane, provides a safe and supportive environment for you to reconnect with old friends, or to meet new ones.

Our club also offers carers of loved ones living with dementia the opportunity to take time out. So while you are at the social club, your carers can recharge, so they then can continue to provide the support you need.

At Tallowwood you can take part in a wide range of activities including mosaic work, painting, walks, golf and board games, to name a few. Our trained and experienced team will make suggestions based on your interests and provide any help and support you need. And, of course, if you’d rather sit back and relax, that’s fine too. You’ll also be treated to a nutritious lunch, along with morning and afternoon tea.

Where and when

Every Thursday from 9am until 3pm

Anglican Church of Australia, 11 Bridgnorth Street, Carindale 4152.

Who can access this service?

Tallowwood Social Club welcomes loved ones living with dementia on Commonwealth Home Support Programme funding or Home Care Package funding. If you are on Commonwealth Home Support Programme funding, you will need to access a centre-based respite referral code through My Aged Care. Your Care Manager can assist you with accessing this referral code.

If you’d like to know more, contact Manager, Ethan Redman. He’ll be happy to answer your questions, and discuss costs, eligibility, and availability.

We hope to see you there soon!
