Volunteering with HammondCare At Home

We’re passionate about supporting people to live comfortably at home for as long as they choose.

As a HammondCare At Home volunteer, you’ll spend time with someone in your local community who may be lonely or socially isolated. Play games, watch a movie, have a cuppa, go for a walk outside – or visit your local coffee shop or men’s shed group.

As a biography writing volunteer, you’ll capture a person’s personal history as you spend time with them and share these written memories with the family.

Our Volunteer Leader will spend time with you to understand your interests and background, and they’ll work to match you with a client in a suburb near-by who may share these similar interests.

“I feel like with Hilda I’m more of a volunteer friend; we’re great mates. We can laugh and laugh and giggle like schoolgirls.”

An enriching experience

Community volunteer Susanne came to Charlie and Beryl at just the right time. Even she could not have imagined the role she would play as they faced illness and tragedy.
