Mona Vale - Admin support

As a HammondCare admin volunteer, your tasks will include

  • Answering the phones and directing calls
  • Act as a concierge, meeting and greeting patients
  • Working on the reception desk
  • Creating medical folders
  • Sorting mail
  • Collecting sandwiches from the hospital to give to patients

You'll love this role if you have

  • Previous admin or reception experience
  • A confident and pleasant phone manner
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office, including PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills, written and oral

As a HammondCare volunteer, you'll be working at 18 Coronation St, Mona Vale on either Tuesday or Friday. The time is 3 hours, either 9am-12pm or 9.30-12.30pm. We would be happy to discuss with you the hours and agree to a suitable start and finish time. The ideal volunteer will be willing to commit long term, 12 months or longer

North Turramurra

Northern Beaches Palliative Care

Our Northern Beaches Palliative Care Home Support Program, operating out of a cottage on the grounds of Mona Vale Hospital, provides end of life care for patients who wish to remain at home. You may spend time doing the following activities

  • Relate with people in a friendly manner that promotes their self-worth and dignity
  • Watch a movie or go for a leisurely walk
  • Engage in conversation
  • Pet therapy
  • Go out for coffee
  • Play a game
  • Do a craft
  • Spend time in the garden
  • Support people to engage with any activities that are meaningful to them
  • Drive people to and from their home to the cottage on the grounds of Mona Vale Hospital

We welcome volunteers from the Northern Beaches area, from Palm Beach to Manly, to Mona Vale to Killarney Heights, Seaforth to Terrey Hills and everywhere in between.

 

Nowra - Admin support

As a HammondCare admin volunteer, your tasks will include

  • Answering the phones and directing calls
  • Filing and general paperwork
  • Sorting mail
  • Assisting with volunteer advertising

You'll love this role if you have

  • Previous admin or reception experience
  • A confident and pleasant phone manner
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office and email
  • Good communication skills, written and oral
  • a love of the elderly and looking to volunteer in your local community.

As a HammondCare admin volunteer, you'll be volunteering at 56-58 Junction Street, Nowra for 3-4 hours on a regular basis each week. We would be happy to discuss with you the day and agree to a suitable start and finish time. The ideal volunteer will be willing to commit long term, 12 months or longer .

Social home visitor - HammondCare At Home

Spend time with someone in your local community who may be lonely or socially isolated. Play games, watch a movie, have a cuppa, go for a walk outside – or visit your local coffee shop or men’s shed group as you volunteer.
