We specialise in aged and dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, mental health services for older people, and other related health and aged care services.  HammondCare seeks to embed evidence based best practice in its services and we provide these services through home care, sub-acute hospitals and residential aged care. 

Bringing these health, hospital and aged care services together, HammondCare has been able to develop innovative, flexible care models designed to serve people with complex health or aged care needs, regardless of their circumstances.

About the Opportunity

HammondCare Caulfield offers three care homes, each providing different types and levels of care: Caulfield Home (Glen Huntly and Glen Eira), Montgomery and Namarra. HammondCare Caulfield provides residential care for 129 place. The Residential Care Home is currently seeking a Volunteer Leader who will be responsible for leading and growing a vibrant volunteer service that provides volunteer assistance to residents, staff and families at our Caulfield site.

More about you

Reporting to the Head of Volunteers, the successful applicant will:

  • Have a demonstrated ability to lead people.
  • The ability to recruit and mentor volunteers.
  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Strong relational ability.
  • The ability to liaise between staff, volunteers, and residents.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills - intermediate with Microsoft Office.
  • A genuine desire to work in Aged Care.
  • Confidence to go into the market place to recruit new volunteers.
