Darlinghurst Artist Impression
Margaret

10 years ago Margaret was at a station and as she stood up ready to board the train, a young woman under the influence of alcohol suddenly pushed her onto the tracks in front of the train. Margaret was lucky to live. She spent six months in hospital undergoing major surgeries and was discharged sustaining multiple permanent injuries.

I couldn’t work anymore so I lost my flat and I couldn’t afford rent for another apartment. I had nowhere to live, nowhere to sleep. People don’t know what pain you’re going through

With your support we can build a safe, permanent home for the elderly who are homeless and have complex healthcare needs. Be part of the first steps towards more services of this kind being built to increase Australia’s capacity to restore dignity for these vulnerable people.

Central to restoring dignity for the elderly who are homeless or on the brink of homelessness is the building of a permanent home with the specialised care they require.

Today there is nothing like HammondCare Darlinghurst in existence in Sydney. With the support of HammondCare’s compassionate supporters, we can provide a solution which will provide a lasting legacy for generations to come.

How We Use Your Gifts

As a Christian charity we believe that we should provide care for those in need, including those who cannot afford it, and when there is insufficient government funding. Unfortunately for many older Australians, the cost of health and aged care services are simply out of reach.

HammondCare Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to address this.
